Prof. D. William Molloy
MB, BCh, BAO, MRCPI, FRCPC.

William was born in Waterford, qualified in medicine in 1977 at University College Cork and obtained his membership in medicine in 1981.

 

He emigrated to Canada where he trained in Geriatrics at the Universities of Manitoba, Western Ontario, and McMaster. He was Professor of Medicine and Chair in Aging at McMaster University.


He returned to Ireland in 2010 to his alma mater, University College Cork, as Professor of Medicine and Chair of the newly-established Centre for Gerontology and Rehabilitation. Professor Molloy is also a practicing medical consultant in Cork University and South Infirmary Hospitals.
